Remi Burgz, a London based presenter and DJ, is becoming a prominent tastemaker in UK music, after taking over as the host of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show earlier this year.

Burgz started out at south London community radio station, Reprezent, before becoming the official DJ for MOBO-nominated rapper Shaybo, and has since hosted festivals across the world, including Stormzy’s Merky Festival, Parklife and Afronation. In September, she began hosting the backstage Rider Room on BBC Three’s Tonight With Target chat show, where she’s joined each week by different artists.
